Russia and Cuba for Better Cooperation

Cuban Foreign Affairs Vice Minister Ana Teresa Gonzalez said Cuba has a lot of interest in cooperating with the Russian agency INTERFAX to spread the Cuban reality. 

This includes the publishing of the struggle of the Cuban people against the US government blockade and the release of the Cuban Five.
 
During a meeting with INTERFAX Information chief Alexei Gorchkov, Gonzalez expressed the willingness of Cuba to support the visit of journalists from INTERFAX to work in the Caribbean island.

Gorchkov said that INTERFAX has more than 1,200 workers and 35 agencies in its independent information service.

Gonzalez talked about exploring ways to distribute information from both countries. 

INTERFAX Information Service vice chief Alexander Korzoun talked about the interest of the Russian agency concerning the Cuban reality, and that they receive information, mainly from Cuban news agency Prensa Latina. 

Cuban Ambassador to Moscow Juan Valdes Figueroa highlighted the importance of information published on the development of economic cooperation between the two countries.

He said that the number of Russian tourists to Cuba increased by 20 percent this year with five charter flights by Russian airline Aeroflot, and two by charter airline Transaero.
