Cuban pianist and composer Frank Fernandez will give a charity concert on May 14 along with the Central American Youth Orchestra and the collected funds will go to children with cancer.

Fernandez invited his fellow countryman Enrique Perez Mesa, director of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, who joined the presentation to support the Costa Rican Association to Combat Child Cancer.

It is hard not to have a gesture of solidarity when it comes to children, Fernandez told the press.

The program he will perform includes three works by Ludwing van Beethoven, and will begin his concert with Piano Concerto No 5.
