Cuban Doctor among AIBA 2009 Best
Cuban Medical PhD. Barbaro Gutierrez Cabrera, member of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Medical Jury, is among the Best of the Year 2009 prize winners.
The Cuban specialist has worked for over 16 years for Cuban national boxing, including at youth and senior World Championships. He has been working in boxing since 1989, and earned his medical degree in 1991.
Dr. Gutierrez is the only Latin American member of the AIBA Medical Jury to have won the prestigeous award. He told the sports weekly Jit that the award highlights the prestige of Cuban sports medicine the Revolution
