Cuba will host 12th International Congress of Science Education
Cuba is finalizing details to host from next 25 to 28 the 12th International Congress on Science Education and the 17th International Workshop on the Teaching of Physics, at Havana’s Convention Palace.
According to the island's Ministry of Education, the meeting will feature the participation of researchers from Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, Ecuador, Spain and Venezuela.
The president of the scientific committee of Congress, Alexis Méndez, explained that there will be an exchange on the teaching and learning process of natural, exact and technical sciences in general and higher education, and in non-formal education.
Likewise, the participants will reflect on the role of science in the digital transformation of societies, and attention to the talent of children, adolescents and young people, in the area of science.
The scientific program proposes five symposia, including the 12th Workshop on the teaching of Physics; the teaching and learning of Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Earth and Space Sciences; the use of computer resources; and the development of digital skills in the teaching process and learning of these disciplines.
In parallel with the conclave, associated exhibitions will be held and will be an opportunity for institutions, projects, national and foreign companies to exhibit and market their productions, services and materials.
The inaugural conference of the congress will be given by the president of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, Luis Velázquez.
