- He meets Argentinean doctor Ernesto Guevara in the small apartment located at Emparan 49-C, which is the domicile of Maria Antonia Gonzalez. Che recounted that meeting in his writings: "I met him on one of those cold Mexican nights, and I remember that our first discussion was about international politics. Within a few hours –by dawn- I was one of the future expeditionaries."
