- He is received by the Caracas Municipal Council. They declare him Guest of Honour during a Solemn Session.
- At 12:00 noon he attends a Joint Session of the houses of the Venezuelan Congress meeting to honour him. He gives a speech serenely and slowly analyzing the drama of Our America. Before concluding, he reads a document that he wrote five days after the coup d’état of March 10, 1952.
- In the afternoon he visits the University campus. He is welcomed at the main auditorium by Rector Francisco De Venanzi together with the University Council, the entire teaching staff and all the students. In his speech, Fidel explains the beginnings and orientation of the Revolution, referring to the necessary solidarity with the struggle of the people of the Dominican Republic and he proposes the need to create an information agency at the service of democracy and the peoples of the Americas.
- From the University, he goes on to Miraflores Palace where he meets with the Governing Junta.
- In the evening, Cuban Ambassador Francisco Pividal hosts a reception in his honour. A press conference is improvised on the roof-top of the residence of the Cuban ambassador, with the participation of more than 50 journalists of various nationalities.
