- At the Presidential Palace, along with President Dr. Osvaldo Dorticós and Rolando Di¬az Aztarai¬n, Minister of the Interior, he signs the laws nationalizing large companies, a total of 382, among which were banks, railroads, department stores, food, textile and clothing warehouses, sugar mills, etc.
