- He is registered at the Cueto Civil Registry Office in Oriente province as Fidel Casiano Ruz González, in Folio No. 258. Volume No. 10.
- After convincing his parents of his wishes to continue with his studies, he enrolls this day at the Colegio de Dolores, belonging to the Catholic order of the Company of Jesus (Jesuits) in Santiago de Cuba.
- Along with his sister Angelita who was enrolled in the high school program, he starts living at the home of Don Martín Mazorra, the owner of a Santiago store where Don Ángel used to buy goods.
