The volume "Fidel Castro: Unity and Independence of America (thematic selection 1959-2010)," published by the Institute of History of Cuba and the Publications Office of the State Council, will be presented today in this capital.
The presentation of the text is part of the activities for the Saturday Book Fair, which this time will be dedicated to the Cuban Five imprisoned in the united States since 1998, and the 54th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, said Granma daily.
The book brings together, in six sections, fragments of speeches, radio and television appearances, press conferences and statements in which Fidel Castro addresses a variety of issues related to the independence struggles of the peoples of America and their meaning in the context of world history.
The compilation, according to Granma, is an attempt to introduce an approach to the subject and a commitment to provide a working tool designed to assess the flow of theoretical and practical reflections of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.
