Angola appreciates Cuba's solidarity in its struggle for national independence and against foreign invasion, said Governor Kwanza Norte province, Enrique Andre Junior.
In a meeting in Kwanza Norte province with Cuban Ambassador to Angola, Gisela Garcia, the Angolan official also highlighted the longstanding friendly links between the two countries and Cuban cooperation in this important stage of peace and national reconstruction.
Junior extolled the important social impact of the work carried out by Cuban health workers in the province, where they represent 70 percent of professionals in the sector, and highlighted the discipline and professionalism of the 236 Cuban collaborators working in the fields of health, education, hydraulics, construction, agriculture and forest.
As part of the agenda of the Cuban delegation, Governor Junior inaugurated a building for the Cuban medical brigade in N Dalatando, capital of Kwanza Norte, in the presence of local government officials and members of the Cuban collaboration mission.
The group also visited Cuban professors of the Agricultural Institute and the Faculty of Pedagogy.
