THE Iranian Presidency has circulated images of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s meeting in Havana with the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

The photographs were taken during the two-hour meeting between the two leaders when Ahmadinejad’s visited Cuba.

As the Iranian President explained, they covered many issues during that time, because Fidel closely follows all regional and international matters.

"Seeing Comandante Fidel safe and sound has given me great joy," Ahmadinejad told journalists at Havana airport, from where he traveled to Ecuador, the final destination on his Latin American tour.

Cuban President Raúl Castro commented that his brother Fidel’s two-hour meeting with the Iranian President demonstrated that the former Cuban leader is in very good health.

"Ahmadinejad told me that Fidel was the one who spoke more during the meeting, a sign that he is really well," the president told journalists after bidding farewell to the visiting leader at the airport.

The Cuban President also announced that two more books by Fidel are soon to be published.
