Peruvian President, Ollanta Humala, confirmed that his country will vote for the end of the U.S. blockade against Cuba, at the General Assembly of the United Nations.
After informing in advance the Peruvian vote at the UN, Humala said that this shows Peru's historical position of support to any measure aimed to finish the blockade imposed to a brother country like Cuba, in terms of peace, and for its full integration into the various political, economic and social Latin American forums.
He also highlighted the cooperation ties between his country and Cuba in areas like education, health and sports.
Humala dialogued with foreign correspondents and expressed his respect for the peace process initiated by Colombian President, Juan Manuel Santos, with the opening of a dialogue with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of that country (FARC) .
