Eugenio Suarez, director of the Office for Historic Affairs of the Council of State in Cuba, highlighted here the importance of Fidel Castro''s legacy in today''s complex circumstances.
During an interview broadcast today on Channel 4 Television, on the occasion of the 86th birthday of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Suarez emphasized the importance of the statesman's contributions from thought and revolutionary action, to the challenges facing humanity.
The Cuban intellectual alluded to prophetic ideas from Fidel Castro on issues such as the environment, the failure to pay debt, the philosophy of war, and imperialist despoilment, along with the elimination of poverty and inequality.
