Cuba''s Agriculture Minister Gustavo Rodriguez Rollero began today at the headquarters of the Chinese Tobacco Monopoly a five-day visit to this Asian country, in which he will attend the China-Latin American Agricultural Ministers Forum.

This first China-Latin America Agriculture Ministers Forum will be held in Beijing with the participation of several delegations of the Latin American states, and its opening is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, at the People's Great Palace in this capital.

The visitor expects meetings with Chinese Academy for Agricultural Sciences president Li Jianyang, this nation's Minister of Agriculture Han Changfu, and Export-Import Bank president Li Rougu, among other local leaders, according to the program.

Sources from the Cuban embassy in Beijing also stated that Rodriguez Rollero will hold talks with representatives of the Cuban Labiofam company in the capital and officials of the Economic and Commercial Office of the diplomatic mission of his country.

The Cuban delegation will visit the exhibition of modern agricultural technology in the Chinese Academy for Agricultural Sciences, the sources stated.
