The financial executive secretary of the Cuban Association of Agricultural and Forest Technicians (ACTAF) Yania Medina, stressed this weekend that the meeting will take place on the 21 and 22, and will function in three working work.
In the first of these days will evaluate the strategic scope for the period 2013-2016, the rules of the organization and gender issues in agricultural development.
The forum, which will bring together, in the Hotel Nacional of Cuba, more than 300 delegates and guests, will also host Urban Forestry Symposium, in which will participate representatives of state national forest system.
The president of the ACTAF, Idalmis Nazco, told Prensa Latina the importance of the project linked to the strengthening of cooperation as line of development capacities, which is very much in keeping with the advance of the productive forces and the basic units of cooperative production.
This association now has about 24,740 members and carries out an extensive training program for its associates as well as the dissemination, promotion and recognition of all the successful experiences that manage to realize the agricultural model they advocates and defends.
It is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), registered since 1987, which has a desintegrated functional structure in subsidiaries, with legal personality, in all provinces of the island, including the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud (Isle of Youth).
