Renowned Cuban musicians will offer a concert tomorrow on occasion of the 14th anniversary of the imprisonment of five anti-terrorist Cuban fighters given harsh sentences in the United States.

According to organizers, the historic escalinata (front stairs) of the University of Havana will be the stage for the event, starting at 21:00 (local time) with stars including duet Buena Fe, Raul Torres, Adrian Berazain and David Blanco, Tony Avila, Doble Filo, Qva Libre and Arnaldo y su Talisman.

The event, organized by the Cuban Music Institute, the Ministry of Culture and the Young Communist League, is part of activities in Cuba and worldwide for the release of Rene Gonzalez, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez.

The Cuban Five, as they are known worldwide, were detained in 1998 for monitoring Miami-based anti-Cuban groups.
