Twenty-second National Congress of Urology begins in Cuba
The 22nd National Congress of Urology of Cuba begins in Havana today with the attendance of delegates from several countries.
The event, scheduled until next Saturday at the Hotel Nacional, has the presence of specialists from Latin America, Europe and the host country to discuss pediatric and adult reconstructive urological surgery.
Delegates will also reflect on oncology, developments in surgical techniques, current events in the treatment of urinary stones and aspects related to sexual and reproductive health, among others.
Prior to the congress, there were courses covering topics such as urological conditions in women, scientific research and dissemination of study results, and complex urethral surgery.
Mariano Castillo, president of the scientific committee, reported that this first day includes conferences on reconstructive surgery in pediatric patients, plastic surgery of the urethra, urological reconstruction, and oncological diseases of the urinary tract.
