Cuban government appreciates expressions of support after the passage of Hurricane Ian
The Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, thanked the expressions of support and solidarity from governments, organizations, and personalities after the passage of Hurricane Ian.
On his Twitter social network account, the official highlighted the support of the governments of Mexico and Venezuela with electrical material destined for the recovery of that service in the province of Pinar del Río, the region most affected by the meteorological event. "Their embrace strengthens us," he said.
In another publication in that social network, he highlighted the solidarity of forestry workers, as well as of the electric and communications company of the whole nation, who arrive in the westernmost province to repair the damages left by Ian.
The meteorological phenomenon made landfall in the early morning of September 27 by the town of La Coloma, with category three of five on the Saffir-Simpson scale.
"There are many damages, but greater is the commitment, dedication, and solidarity of all Cuba with those in need", Morales said
