The ambassadors of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) highlighted the achievements of the integration group in the Dominican press.
 
As part of the celebration of the 12th anniversary of the creation of ALBA-TCP by commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez, the meeting was attended by ambassadors Jesús de la Nuez (Cuba), Ali de Jesús Uzcátegui Duque (Venezuela) and Rodrigo Rio Frio (Ecuador).
 
In a meeting held in the House of the Dominican College of Journalists where the president of the sector, Olivo de León welcomed them.
 
Ambassador de laNuez assured that the opinion shared by commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez that 'a better world is possible' translated into solidarity the projects with other nations with the creation of the ALBA-TCP.
 
The entity has contributed to the development and well-being of the countries of the region and other latitudes and continues to be an example of regional integration that seeks to promote equitable development and strengthen cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and solidarity, he said.
 
Millions of Latin Americans and Caribbeans have benefited in health, education and social programs as a result of integration of solidarity, ans stressed that ALBA-TCP shows what can be when there is the political will to do so.
 
Meanwhile, Ambassador Uzcátegui affirmed that 'the ALBA has benefited Venezuela in the middle of the economic war that faces currently. It has helped us to maintain that strength, that dynamics, to apply strategies. It has allowed us to understand more and more the concept of integration', he said.
 
ALBA helped us free ourselves from illiteracy, to raise the population's health levels. The ALBA was the genesis of integration for more regional organizations like Petrocaribe. The ALBA contributes to the conception of strength of the Venezuelan revolution. And that is why we will continue with ALBA, for the ALBA and forever inside ALBA, he declared.
